November 2008 same as July 2006

As you can see by the updated photo works are still in progress, we are in the same position as July 2006.

We have had builders inside and out now since June this year even though the completion dates for outside was around the 3rd week of August we did add extra work due to the builders not being able to match up the stone. We have now added stone to the 2 gable ends of the property as the quoins were incorrectly laid in July 2006 the easier option was to complete the sides in stone.

By adding this extra work the work still should have been finished by the end of September early October but due to technical problems in the manufacturing of the stone mullions and the quality issues of the rubbish that they sent through we are being held up till January or February of next year, 9 months after the start date

Ongoing works inside the house have come to a halt due to the new wood flooring in the hallway being laid on an uneven floor; just how a professional company can install solid wood flooring up to 20mm out of level over a 5m span leaves me speechless. The staircase manufactures had installed the new stairs on top of the floor so this will have to be removed. Whilst the floor and new staircase was being installed we had to move out of the house for two weeks due to health and safety reasons so I can only presume again that whilst all the is being rectified again we will have to move out.
